I have a forum with 500 threads and after upgrading to XF2, I'd like to promote all those threads to Articles which would make the first post in the thread have an article view and the subsequent posts as comments.
The 'Auto-promote forums' checks the option to promote threads which will be posted in the future. Is there a way to bulk promote those 500 threads posted in the past -- long before XenPorta was installed? Or is promoting each thread manually is the only way?
Can you use this to feature threads your board member post, instead of righting articles. Im using CTA Featured Threads & Portal and wanted to know if this add-on does the same thing or even better.
I'd like for unregistered users to see Article images ...
Any thoughts?
OMG, not sure why I missed this option. Guess I wasn't thinking of articles as Nodes. Worked like a charm! That is the exact setting of my articles, change the articles node permission.
Example article: https://www.beke.co.nz/threads/kalijum-permanganat.3491/
You need to add the permissions to do it in Groups & Permission > User group permissions...Sorry for the noob question, but how to I enable the "Promote to Article" function for the moderator options?
I just installed this add-on on a fresh install of XenForo 2.0.6b, no other add-ons or skins. I can see it listed in my add-ons and change all the options, but can't figure out how to actually promote a thread to an article like I see in the videos.
This is what I see in the moderator options for a thread:
