Is there a setting somewhere needed to get stuff to show up on the portal page?

I assumed this would be enough



but nothing is yet showing up. I posted a couple of new threads but nothing.

Is it necessary to set at least one category or anything else?

Same as XF1 did. It changes the thread view to a comment view (and you can see it in the video).

Just an update, manually promoting is working great. Automatic promotion doesn't seem to be working for me. (Not sure if there's a cron or a cache or something though?)

Suggestion: When featuring an item, have a predefined selection of images to choose from. I can imagine us having say 10 generic images to use and having to upload them every time would be a pain rather than being able to just select from the server.

Thats not what this option does. This option automatically checks a BOX in the options section when CREATING a thread.

I thought that might be the case but it wasn't doing that either at first. Now I have a few manually promoted it seems to be automatically checking it ok.

Is there anyway to point a whole forum to be promoted automatically? Basically the old RecentNews block?

I'm assuming you can set your XF index route path in the same way you could for XF1.

Not sure if this is a bug or intentional but it looks a bit weird. The Author/Date/Views info is only the width of the content so moves around depending on the content of the excerpt. I'd have expected them to be 100% with inside the container.
