XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO

XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO

No permission to buy ($40.00)
  • Major fixes to install/upgrade procedures for those who are upgrading from the XF1 version... I'm honestly amazed that no one has complained about issues till now. But I guess if things have been working out for everybody; its fine...
  • Added an option to change the "title" of the Portal page.
  • Added a widget for portal categories and article counts.
  • Fixes a bug that prevents the uploading of feature slider images.
  • Added permission checking for the article list. Threads a user can not view will now no longer show up in the articles list. You can disable this permission check in the admin control panel.
  • Fixed a bug where articles future-dated still show up on article lists.
  • Added the ability to disable the "history" url updating with the infinite scroller.
  • Added a client-side check for file sizes to make sure users can't upload feature images that are bigger than the file size limit on your PHP.ini.
  • Added support for thread prefixes on the article list.
  • Fixed some CSS issues related to embedded media on the articles list.
  • Added missing user activity details.
  • Other miscellaneous bug fixes.
For years, I've been trying to get people to STOP using the auto-promote setting. I've been telling people how much of a strain on server resources it was, and how it would affect performance of the addon. People didn't listen. Well with XenPorta 2 for XF2, I will NOT be bringing this feature back. HOWEVER, I have included a new "secret" page in the administration section which will help people out.

If you've been using the auto-promote feature in the past, with XF2, you may now find your article list empty. This is because this version of XenPorta will no longer fetch threads that do not have article entities. What I've done is created a secret page at admin.php?ewr-porta/promote. Going to this page will allow you to run a scrape which will automatically create article entities for all threads in a selected forum.
  • Fixed a JavaScript bug related disabling controls in the feature slider
  • Some basic code cleanup and performance improvements
