Duplicate XenForo cms - homepage

Hi, I've been using Xenforo since its release with my various official and non-official projects.

I find it really difficult to understand how a complete and highly supported structure like xenforo still doesn't offer a homepage system that manages articles / blogs by default. Users like Paul B where I chose the addon at the beginning of the month, and other devs like https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xencustomize-news-publisher-home-page-portal-cms.9522/ who they created something similar and you from xenforo can't do it.

What I ask for, and like me many other users, is a homepage system that allows you to choose grid or carousel layouts, with the latest blogs divided into categories, with the possibility of inserting widgets and html freely, and perhaps if you also implemented a system of PRO-CONS at the end of the article would be great. perhaps like other boards (IPS for example) there may be an extra payment, as happens for download or branding removal.

I would put nodes in the list, tick (possibility) to choose: Show who moderates like this above each node, or on the homepage it says: moderated by: can help users ask for help from the relevant professional.

It’s been over a decade, I don’t think they are going to make one.

And with promises of 2.4 and 3.0, they certainly can’t release one until those are done.

This seems a similar suggestion to :

With the difference that the suggestion was posted before the iPhone was invented.

It would be great if someone created one. I use xenporta but the guy never responded to my posts so I’ve been in search for a new one.

Yup, I pushed for this on here at various times some time ago, but we have nothing so far, only a simulation of one with the articles feature which doesn't really cut it. However, both main competitors vB and Invision have had one for years, so why not XF?

Even one with basic features would be very useful, so I wish they'd create one. Perhaps some time after 3.0 is released we'll finally see it, who knows?

If 3.0 is mainly stylistic changes, I would assume that it makes it easier to stylize pages.

It wouldn't make sense to jump up an entire version just for a style change unless it came with moveable blocks or a Page creator. Otherwise, we could simply 3.0 a 2.3 install with a 3rd party style. I believe there's something more to 3.0 than just style changes alone...

Well, hopefully you're right, but there's no hint about this from the devs so I'm not holding my breath.

No, stop with the basic features! If we had to have a XenForo CMS, it might as well be powerful and feature-rich and aesthetically well done.
If it's to buy a multitude of third-party add-ons to make it attractive, it's not worth it...

Do you want a CMS that offers carousel mode for your content? Honestly, you show this thing to anyone and they tell you it's from the 2010s...

yes but do you understand that it is a basic function of the premium forum? I don't understand why not program a blog system like this??! which I have now decided to buy at the end of the month. This seems a similar suggestion to :

and we have to say thank you to: @Bob

this is all sad.. and I think worrying

look at xenaddons blogs or articles, in my opinion they are the best on the market

the serious thing is that in all these years they have never designed something taking inspiration from IPB / VB. IPB I thought about creating with him but 500 euros is too much!!! I don't understand why not create this damn blog inside the xenforo core.

I find it absurd to wait 2 years for something that could be developed in a matter of months and requires thousands of subscribers

it's a shameful thing

It's not @Paul B but @Bob.

And we are aware that there are alternatives with third-party developers, the subject is a CMS developed by the XF team.
You are the one who made this suggestion, you should know!

It's not too absurd as it started with a forum... Other forums added a blog to their forum software before Xenforo (vb4?) while XF kept it a forum.

Of course I want a fully featured one, but my point is that if they can't stretch to that then a basic one is better than nothing and will be built on over time. We're currently sitting at zero, or put another way, a rocket on the launchpad with no fuel and none coming. That's not getting us anywhere.

Yes, it's a bit odd that when two of their competitors are doing it, so there's clearly a demand for it other than people talking about it here.

Would love to see a touched up version of this page:

It's the what's new/user profile posts, and I think we can mimic the endless scrolling of user posts to make the experience similar to FB/X. It defeats the purpose of running a "forum." But... XF software is awesome, and billions of people prefer the social media scrolling. So think about this - if we give the users something they're familiar with, then it might be a LOT easier for us to grow our communities.

the IPB structure includes a blog.. a free self-managed cms where you can insert widgets.. attach other cms.. (lavarel or similar) or even write free codes inside.. an ecommerce structure and a download system where you can choose lots of information and settings. the asking price is now crazy 500 dollars.. because they give you everything.. but in my opinion it's madness. Madness up to a certain point because they give you a complete service where you can grow a community.. a shop and a content manager. many put null licenses because from what I understand the owners have (surrendered) to the nulled (also because it would be impossible to open 300 lawsuits all over the world) so one can also think I'll put it nulled since nothing happens. XenForo could easily offer something similar and something that THOUSANDS of users ask for.. I don't understand what it costs them to create this blessed blog.

these are all new things that no one is asking for. They are thought to be good for communities because they resemble social networks. But the forum is filled with content. You will never see warez forums that offer free files and programs fail unless the authorities close them. You have to offer content, entice users and try to make them earn something, that's the only way to have a forum in 2024. So you're talking about a tab manager after 10 years of being asked to create a blog.. they continue to release features that interest 10 users out of 2 million for example. while something that 2 million people ask for is not even taken into consideration

I have both and they’re great. I just need to purchase another article add on from him and get rid of xen porta.
I'm about to purchase Bob's blog. do you recommend purchasing? is it worth it? I can decide which user groups are enabled. to create blogs?
