XCentral, if you are interested, I disabled the XF Enhanced Search addon and found your addon worked as intended with site specific search etc...I then enabled the XF Enhanced Search addon and found your addon didn't perform as intended

We have completed checking this locally and see it works quite fine for us. There seems to be some mis-configuration of XenForo or a problem with search engine causing this. To identify the problem please completely disable our product, go to advanced search and try to search for threads in particular forums only. See if it returns all threads or only the correct one. If this works as intended, please contact us at http://desk.xencentral.com/ and we will review the problem further.

Does your addon extend XenForo_Model_Node? Because with the default Node model that return value should always be an array so this error should never happen and the check should not be necessary.

Thank you for the note. Yes, we extend it, and function is keeping return type, it was just missing return keyword for the extended function. We have fixed it now.

@ibaker this was fixed and we will announce about the release of new version with this fix and many new features in coming hours.

Thank you for the suggestion. This was not supported by our product, but we have considered this as a quite important addition for everyone using that addon, so prepared the next minor release that filters tabs and shows only ones available for current domain. Release notes will be published in a minute.

I am now finding MANY issues with this addon...it doesn't work with the XF Enhanced Search addon, it doesn't work properly with xenAtendo, it doesn't work with the "New Posts" function...so I would recommend holding off getting this addon until things are fixed and working...will advise

Thank you for your feedback, @ibaker , but as we are discussing in our support system, none of that MANY issues are proved to be with our product, XF Enhanced search DOES NOT WORK on your board with our product disabled, other issues you have reported are not confirmed yet (and confirmed to work fine on local development board). That is nice you want to inform the community about possible problems with the product, but please do not post misleading information, it harms not only us, but also our users who will not get actually working and fully supported product considering there are MANY problems with it. Hope you understand.

Sorry but you must be having an issue with English...as pointed out to you XF Enhanced Search WORKS and has been working on my site for a long time...an XF moderator here installed it for me...BUT the only way to get your addon to work (to some extent) is to disable XF Enhanced Search and you have blamed XF Enhanced Search as being the problem yet XF developers developed it themselves...and now you want to charge 60 Euros an hour to troubleshoot...it isn't looking good mate when you blame one of XF's own addons
 
It is like in post #55 and post #57 you say there is nothing wrong with your product and blame Jake's "Nodes As Tabs" addon as having the bug, but then later in post #65 you admit you had a bug in your product

Sorry if we missed something, but please do the following simple test, and confirm that you still think it WORKS.

1. Disable all our products.

2. Go to Advanced Search

3. Select MULTIPLE forums

4. Run search. You will see results included from other forums as well.

We have checked this ourselves, and provided you full and detailed instructions in our support system. So, it DOES NOT WORK. Period. I don't understand why you are still posting misleading information publicly. I am providing our reply to you, where you we clearly state the problem is with Elasticsearch system (and post likely ONLY on your forum, and not a general bug in the product):

We have completed the check and found that the problem is not in our product, as we assumed initially, and your last test was just not fully reproducing required conditions, that is why it succeed. Now, to see it failing, disable all our products, go to Advanced Search, select there ALL forums that should be searched under ".net" domain, it is about 20 forums in total, and run the search with keyword "Rangiora". You will see two thread on top coming from ".COM.AU" domain - URL REMOVED

Again, this search is run with disabled XenCentral products, and you can see list of forums selected for the search, but first thread comes from forum with ID 77, not listed in forum list.

PHP search code itself seems to be working fine, maybe the problem is with elastic search not being able to handle multiple forums in its forum filter condition, as if you select just one forum, it brings results correctly, but if you select two or more forums, it brings all results (just select FORUM1 AND FORUM2 forums, and you will see results from FORUM3 as well).

However, the problem seems to be somehow specific for your server, as we could not reproduce the same problem on our local machine, which works fine with Elasticsearch. Anyway, this is not a bug in our product, and you may consider to contact XenForo for further support.

It is not like that at all. All products have bugs, ours as well, and as you see our bug was solved in hours after reporting, and quick fix is released for all customers. This is how we understand creating and supporting high quality product, and not making it completely bug-free. Everyone makes mistakes, that's normal.

Again, we value your feedback a lot, but would appreciate more constructive approach from your side, and as long as you are getting full and priority support via Support System, not to "warn" customers about low quality product.

This is something you have reported, and the terms to check WHY it happens you can see in our Support System. As the other problem, your new problems (and many others you may report) may be not connected with our product, and therefor will be billed ONLY if they are AGAIN proved to be not from our product. I hope it is clear for you now.

I gave you 6 screen shots showing that the XF Enhanced Search work PERFECTLY with your addon disabled...

PLUS, I have just spent time installing XF clean, absolutely clean new install on a domain with the ONLY addons being xenAtendo and YOUR addon and the issues are there so you can't blame any other addon or anything else but YOUR addon as it is a completely new XF install.

Again here are 3 screen shots of proof:
Domain 1 is .net and domain 2 is .com.au
Domain 1 has forums 1,2,3 and 4
Domain 2 has forums 1,2,5,and 6
Yet you can see from the screen shots that on domain 1 you can create an event thread in a forum that is ONLY on domain 2...a bug that I reported and you said it it is XF Enhanced Search fault...remember these are clean fresh XF installs with only your addon and xenAtendo.

Oh, and also the XF community users have a right to know when there are issues with an addon so they don't waste their money buying problematic addons
 
@ibaker, thank you for additional information.

For the prove of XF Enhanced Search working perfectly let us not agree with you, and see my above posts for details. In short - it does not handle correctly MULTIPLE forum constrain, and it is with our product disabled (at least on your test forum you have provided us). For any further discussion please inform us with confirmation that the above is false. By the way, we would like not to use this thread for support conversations, and we still do not see the point of posting all this here instead of using Support System where you are getting full and priority support. This way you just make it hard for users to find the information they need about the product.

Again, thank you for the screenshots provided for xenAtendo product bug, and again, you can see the terms about further troubleshooting your issues in our Support System. In short - we did not reproduce the problem locally, so we assume it is again something else, not our product causing this. The terms for further troubleshooting are very simple - you will be billed ONLY if it was not bug in our product, but something else. We really don't know what else we can do for you. Please check our last reply in Support System again, and let us know if you have any questions.
