I believe they are knocking down the old way of doing things in batches. @Jeremy is already working on upgrading the addon to use the new official API.
However try making a new account just for the plugin again.

Yeah also think that is the only way atm.
Thanks man i just did that and updated my previous post.
The oath auth in next update should fix this i guess.

EDIT: i actually managed to get my old account working by deleting the whole plugin and a clean re-install

Thanks dark wizard, i'm a little out of my depth when it comes to php and apache side of things, can you give me a run down of how i can achieve this, unfortunately i do not have access to root on putty.

Who is your host?
cURL is pretty common and they should be willing to turn it on for you

Okay everything was working like a charm, now people can not associated the discord ID anymore.
They get the error: The provided member ID was invalid
The functionality is still working when i link them manually.
However all linked accounts will not be displayed anymore with the discord name:
It was all working, are there any logfiles that could help me further nailing it down?
Or maybe one of you guys know how to fix this.

Sadly the DEVs of this addon are not active, they have a own forum but do not answer there, they have a own discord server but you never see them there.
Tbh this addon is not worth the money. I bought it because they said it will be updated to the new API asap. Still after month there is no change or announcement in any way.
Hope someone else is taking on this discord addon. Discord will grow and might be a Teamspeak killer in the future. So making a addon should pay off in the end.

When you can make a review for the addon. Maybe this will make the DEVs work on it again. The least it does is to warn future buyers that the addon seems abandoned.

That is awesome!@Jeremy has agreed to step down as the developor of this project.
I've gone ahead and contacted another developer I trust within the community and they have agreed to upkeep it as needed. Expect an update as soon as possible all

Just as an official follow up:
The update will require users to resync, but since its using the official Discord API, its a one button click experience. Like if you were going to associate your xF account with say twitter.
This also works both ways, you'll be able to optionally enable users to sign up for your site with a discord account, like they could gmail or twitter and the sort. You will all need to uninstall the addon and install 2.0 since you can't just upgrade to the new version. Please don't do this till its released.
ETA is 1-2 weeks. Maybe sooner, but we are leaving room for error.
