I was happy to see it coming to XF, but it doesn't conform at all to XenForo styling which will make it a nightmare to add support for.

As with the style under vBulletin, it's not final. We gave it a relatively straightforward box model with some simple CSS that would have the least clashes cross-platform and that would outline the boxes during alpha to more easily identify them during testing. We will be updating the style in a release or two to use XenForo's Color Palette style properties wherever possible.

Like vBulletin and XenForo, VaultWiki is a visible source product. It doesn't require any extra software to decrypt its files. VaultWiki is distributed in a ZIP archive, so you must at least be able to extract one of those.

Ok great! It must have been one of the other wiki's for vB I was thinking of, will keep an eye on this for sure to consider for a future purchase

It says its seamlessly integrated. I just dont get that feel on the demo page. The design of vaultwiki doesnt match xenforo at all.

I'm liking it so far, but yes it indeed needs some header and footer work, but for sure, it is heading in the right direction.

Can I import a mediawiki db into this?

The importer isn't ready yet. We had a MediaWiki import into version 3, but version 3 doesn't work with XenForo.
