I am interested in this add-on. Can you please tell me if these are full-fledged forums that are created for each resource? If so, will that create issues if we have hundred of resources, each with their own forum?

Yes full fledged.

If you have hundreds of resources, you can set it so the forums are created in a category.

Apart from that why kind of issue do you fear ?

Apart from that why kind of issue do you fear ?

Thanks for your reply. I am concerned about performance issues with a large number of created forums. I'd love to use this add-on but anticipate at least a few hundred resources, possibly more. Do you think I'll run into any issues with that many forums?

The permission rebuild could take quite a long time if you have lots and lots of forums.

But then it’s only when you update permissions or install an addon that it happens so it’s a question of trade off.

This is one of those features XenForo really should’ve had by default

Right now, everything related to a resource, questions, suggestions, issues, ends up in a single thread. That’s not ideal for a few reasons:

• It mixes all topics together, making it hard to follow or respond to specific discussions
• A single-thread setup limits the number of indexable pages, which reduces traffic potential
• Separate threads per topic would improve search visibility and make everything much easier to navigate

After just a month of using this, the number of threads and posts on my forum has tripled, which also means triple the chances of people finding it

So yeah, highly recommended. It makes things cleaner, more organized, and way better for long-term growth

I made this suggestion for xenforo.com days after the release of the Resource Manager
