Our 15 year old server took a **** and took out two drives....and our backups weren't working. We should be back online in a few weeks.

I think this would be game-changer. Not many sites publish in RSS right now (or at least the newer ones and/or depending of the niche) but Google News fetch data from all of them.

Just want to confirm that the add-on is compatible with DeepSeek (less expensive than OpenAI).
How can use DeepSeek instead of ChatGpt?
In order to use DeepSeek you have to register, create a new API Key, add funds and fill the configuration of the add-on with:- OpenAI API Key: Put your DeepSeel API Key here. Seriously, ignore the name here and below. Will change labels on next version.
- OpenAI Endpoint: Chage to https://api.deepseek.com/chat/completions instead of https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions
- OpenAI Model: deepseek-chat instead of whatever you have.

You could consider https://openrouter.ai/ for an unified selection of LLMs. Or simply give a choice for the most popular ones (ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Gemini, etc)

Not sure if its possible but it would be great if the addon could scan recent posts on the forum/thread and grab sentiment on the topic/news article and incorporate user replies into the article. Tried to do it with the prompt but chatgpt made up some responses and fake usernames

Sure. For context note i have a sports forum where articles would be based on team naming, results etc, or players and this would be widely discussed before an article even exists.
I have this in my chatgpt prompt for feed:
Refer to current team standings, position on ladder, win-loss record, user reactions on topic from xx.com forum quoting related posts and usernames, and current general sentiment amongst fans in the rewritten article if relevant.
Refer to following sites: xxx.com, xxx.com or xxx.com for reference on content.
In the output article i get stuff like "It's worth noting that the general sentiment amongst fans on the xxx.com forum is a mix of cautious optimism and excitement. User "WarriorsFan1" posted, "Can't wait to see [Player1] and [Player2] back in action. They're both talented players with a lot of potential." Meanwhile, another user, "RugbyLoverNZ," pointed out, "The team is in good hands with Coach [Coach Name]. The boys just need to keep up the momentum.""
The users quoted are made up and the quotes on the forum dont exist so chatgpt made them up. It would be good if it referenced actual posts in reference to the news article, by providing them some clear info on where to get that information either via a forum node to scan or simply by saying to scan recent posts in the forum in regards to the news article.

The current OpenAI API lacks internet access; therefore, its knowledge is limited to the last model update, which does not guarantee comprehensive coverage of your website's content. I propose accessing and summarizing relevant recent posts on the specified topic, then providing links and summaries for inclusion.
Utilizing an external API, such as Ahrefs or a comparable service with a robust topical database, would be necessary for accessing external links. The main problem qith that is that it will require several API calls to ChatGPT and other entities, but may work pretty well.

Yep understood that as well hence indicated that it might be difficult to do it as the API does not have internet access
In my tests some articles did pick up forum comments from the forum which was good but yeah not very reliable due to most of the comments being made up.OpenRouter is great as it offers several free models, so no monthly charges like OpenAI.
