User map [Deleted]

On the screenshot of your console, the error that is pertinent here is the Maps API error (s) saying your domain is not authorized to use the API. This is a similar error to what I was getting that was bugging me for a while and it just cleared itself up. However I made some mistakes.

You may want to check to make sure that on your ACP options page that you don't have an extra space or spaces at the end of the API keys that are pasted in there. I did - not sure if that was a problem.

On your Server API Key screen in your google console, do you have an IP address specified under the "accept requests from these server IP addresses"? If you do, remove that.

On browser API key screen, do you have your URL added in the "Accept requests" field? Like this *.domain.com/*

Under your Credentials screen there is a Domain Verification tab, do you have this showing there

The other once related to doubleclick protocol I don't believe are caused my the maps addon.

Dude. */.mymilitary.com/* is not the correct syntax. Calm down. you needed to have this as *.mymilitary.com/*, the extra / was causing this whole issue

i do not want my members to be able to perform the mass update , you need to add a button to the admin cp to do this
They would only be able to do it if they knew the link. Do it once, uncheck the box on the ACP options page, and then no one will be able to do it. You shouldn't need to do it more than once I don't think either though.

I do agree that this would make more sense to be done as a button in the ACP page, rather than a live link, but then again I'm not sure how it's begin done

Are you using usermap/massupdate or usermap?massupdate? The former is correct. Also @CrispinP this is still not updated properly on the FAQ page

When you run Massupdate, does it just take a few seconds and then refresh the screen, or does it take a minute or two and then show you a screen like this:

Any server errors?

On your API console, open to the page on the Geocoding API Useage screen. Do you see a whole bunch of requests?

using http://www.mymilitia.com/usermap?massupdate?

NOTHING HAPPENS

Ok let's take this one at a time

You are using the wrong URL for mass update. That's why it's not working. use yourdomain.com/usermap/massupdate not usermap?massupdate and this should now work, now that you have the google API figured out

You should also now be able to check Enable automatic geo-location on user profile save and this should work now. Same issue - the API

Show Individual Pins was explained earlier in this thread. The map will show individual pins when zoomed in, and then it will show the Heat Map when zoomed out if the box is unchecked. The check box was supposed to allow you to show individual pins instead of the heat map when zoomed out but it doesn't work right and causes nothing to show at all. So chill! It works, it will show individual pins when zoomed in, just like most would expect, and no one unfamiliar with the addon will think that anything is wrong when it shows a heat map as you zoom out. only you will know that this option isn't working perfectly.
