An invite feature already exists.
Oh okay, I wasn't sure. Downloaded but haven't tested the add-on yet. Just saw Morgain's suggestion and figured I'd throw that in there.

I think the whole point of @Morgain's suggestion is that the user wouldn't have a say about it. As an administrator, you will be able to decide whether you give them the permission to leave the group. You are absolutely right though (in my opinion) that this might not be appropriate on most sites.Oh okay, I wasn't sure. Downloaded but haven't tested the add-on yet. Yes, just revoke the permission 'Like Posts' for the social category node.Is there an easy way to disable "Like" in the social forum?

Check out this page for info on how to hide or move the copyright notice (or you could pay to remove it completely):I have on more question that is perhaps not so obvious and silly. With this add-on activated, I noticed it takes my footer background and inserts it above the bottom breadcrumbs (sitewide). Any ideas?

I should note that we are actually moving the copyright notice from XenForo 1.2 onwards to appear below the XenForo copyright notice by default.
That seems to be a problem with your style rather than this add-on. But it is not uncommon, which is one of the reasons we are moving it.Ah okay, I don't mind having the copyright there - just didn't want the big ugly footer background heh.
This is not possible at the moment. An interesting idea though, especially if they have been invited. Is there any way to make the forum/node invisible until a Moderator invites that member to join? There will probably be dozens of social groups and this can get overwhelming with so many. I figured if there was a way to make it so a member can only see the one they are apart of (or invited to), it would help.
I realize a member has to "Accept" though. What do you think?
Or perhaps hide all the other forums in a social category once a member of a particular social forum
This sounds like a conflict with another add-on. Do you have any other add-ons installed that might affect how forums/threads behave?Hi there,
Something strange is happening here.
I have created a social category named "Micro-Communities".
When a new social forum is created in this category all is well. When a second, third, etc social forum is created in the category, again all is well. However, when a post is made to any one of the social forums, it displays the same thread in every single social forum created under the category.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks.

I think this would be useful for any set up, not just those that focus on 1 primary group per person.I particularly like the "invited" idea as well, this would allow the member to see all of the different social groups until they are invited to join. I don't know how complicated this would be to set up a separate permission mask for "invited" members. Of course, this would only be ideal for websites that primarily focus on 1 primary social group per person (I would assume most are like this though).
