Tag Essentials [Deleted]

Is there any way for this system to retrospectively apply thread tags without me having to goto the batch update? IE automagic GO ! button ?
 
In version 1.7.0 the option to show most popular tags divided up by category was added. They show up below the tag cloud on the search page.

Is it possible to make it so that the tag cloud doesn't show up and only the "divided up by category" tag cloud shows up?

We find the "divided up by category version to be so much more useful that we don't want the other one.
 
Never mind. I just went into the template modification on the tag_search template and edited it to be just how I wanted it to be. Yay templates!
 
Question for experts:

Is there a clever way using template code to list all of the tags that don't belong to any category? I want to make a registered-member viewable list of all tags that don't have categories.

For example, <xen:foreach loop="$tagCloud" key="$tagId" value="$tag"> can be used to loop through all of the tags to create a tag cloud. Can a <xen:if> tag be used inside of that loop to check each tag to see if it has a category? If so, any ideas what object the xen:if should check?
 
Years ago, when we had vb, there was an add-on called vbGlossary which has a great feature. Want to say if there has any plan to add that feature to this add-on?

The feature is: link site-wide tags in posts content.
imagine a long article is posted as a POST. and in that article there are words that are defined as tags in site. Now link them to their tag page and when we hover on them, then the popup of tag be displayed with its content.
(this of course need to be forum based. so that we be able to activate this functionality for any forum that we want)


popup on tag hover is a great tool and we want to define lots of tags and each of them will have explanation and wiki. and we want to have a forum so that we use it as a "Submit Text and Use Terminology" system so that when user post a content then all words of it that is in the list of tags of the site will be linked to their tag pages and when you hover over them then the popup comes and explain that word.
 
Also ability to attach files to tag Wiki is something very useful (and for our case of usage, must have)

is there any plan for this and the post above?
 
@Stuart Wright @Xon Features updated Suggestions. Content Tagging Maintenance Functionality. Remove all existing content tags and Re-generate content tags for all threads. Forums can be excluded from the "Add Tags" maintenance action.

Add Batch Update Tags: Admin CP -> Applications -> Tags > Batch Update Tags (Automatically builds thread tags based on title and contents)

- Automatic Tags from only Threads Titles.
- Automatically creates tags propositions according to posts titles for words which are not tags yet
- Remove all existing tags from selected threads.
- Replace all existing tags with new tags.
- Remove some tags from selected threads.
- Add new tags to selected threads.
- Block Special Characters.
- Automatically adds new tags to old threads (Daily, Scheduling Tasks with Cron Jobs)

Hello,
I've found a bug when using synonyms: Sometimes I get the error "Tag {x} is already a synonym of another tag!" but the tag doesn't exist. Afterwards the tag is created but not as synonym. It also gives the error if you only use strings which occur in the tag ...

@Stuart Wright @Xon You are not given support for this add-on? User Group Permissions setting have or not brackets [ ] is this bug? Can add User Group Permissions setting are Seperate (Tag Essentials Permissions) ? Not mixing with General Permissions.

Bugs?:
  1. When I merge two tags in ACP and then click on the Tag link, it leads me to the general tag search page instead of showing the tag use.
    • ---> If I then search the tag it only reloads the tag search page.
  2. Synonyms: When I click on "edit" in the Tag List in ACP, it opens the edit modal and sometimes the form field for Synonyms is shown and sometimes it is not...?
