Hmm, might be the display tags on the thread list option. I'm not sure if that was added between 1.3.0 and 1.6.1. I can see that making a lot of server requests due to some javascript needing to be optimized. Other than that, I'm not really sure.

I think you could have just went into Options and toggled off the option for showing tags on the thread list though.
I put 1.6.1 back on with threadlist tags off, and it was better

No, I'm going to take back my comment - I jumped the gun. I think it's definitely just the threadlist tags causing the issue.
Makes sense. I believe I fixed this earlier, just doing some more tests with the new javascript before 1.6.2 comes out.

Daniel, Sorry to say, but the 1.6 series of this addon (currently running 1.6.2) still doubles my server load when the addon is activated. On a Sat afternoon it's not a big deal going from a .83 average load to 2.60 - but during peak traffic times this will cause the site to slow down. As soon as I disable, server loads drop. I've enabled/disabled many times to test and have become certain of this. I have threadlist tags disabled all the time. Here's my options screen:

Maybe downgrade to 1.5.0? It'll be easier to tell which feature if I know exactly what version caused it. Jumping from 1.3 to 1.6 had a lot of new stuff.
Where do I find the style property, or template, to change the background color of a tag in the thread view?

That's not currently a feature and not really planned to be honest.
Appreciate the feedback, but it doesn't appear to handle standard tag styles.

Is there a demo of the new category functionality? I cannot visualise the change.
