Hmm, might be the display tags on the thread list option. I'm not sure if that was added between 1.3.0 and 1.6.1. I can see that making a lot of server requests due to some javascript needing to be optimized. Other than that, I'm not really sure.

Ahh. Ok, we'll I'd like to roll back to version 1.3.0 as I really do love the add-on. I uninstalled version 1.6.1, but now when I try to install 1.3 I get

I think you could have just went into Options and toggled off the option for showing tags on the thread list though.

I put 1.6.1 back on with threadlist tags off, and it was better - but server loads still went from around 2, to 8+. I'll stick with 1.3.1 for now. Will send a PM about installing that older version as I'm still having trouble.

No, I'm going to take back my comment - I jumped the gun. I think it's definitely just the threadlist tags causing the issue.

Makes sense. I believe I fixed this earlier, just doing some more tests with the new javascript before 1.6.2 comes out.

Daniel, Sorry to say, but the 1.6 series of this addon (currently running 1.6.2) still doubles my server load when the addon is activated. On a Sat afternoon it's not a big deal going from a .83 average load to 2.60 - but during peak traffic times this will cause the site to slow down. As soon as I disable, server loads drop. I've enabled/disabled many times to test and have become certain of this. I have threadlist tags disabled all the time. Here's my options screen:



Unfortunately I have no idea how to tell from a terminal, what exactly is bogging down apache. Any thoughts?

Maybe downgrade to 1.5.0? It'll be easier to tell which feature if I know exactly what version caused it. Jumping from 1.3 to 1.6 had a lot of new stuff.

That's not currently a feature and not really planned to be honest.

Tag Categories

• This feature can be disabled within the XenForo options page.
• In the admin panel, you can manage categories.
• In the admin panel (or on the front end if permissions permit) you can add tags to their category.
• On the thread view, when a tag is in a category it's removed from the main tags list and added above it in the specific category list.
• On the tag search page below the tag cloud (if enabled) there will be a new section for each category to show...

Do you plan to manage authorizations with tag categories ? We have the need to hide some tags to registered users and show them only to admin. Will it be possible with your add-on ?
Currently we use Tinhte Xentags, is your add-on compatible ?
