Stuck in Upgrade mode

I am stuck here in the admin panel and on the forum " The site is currently being upgraded. Please check back later." After trying to upgrade to 2.3.12, never had this happen before.

How to I fix this?

Glad to see that you fixed it. Do you mind providing the solution? It can help other users too who might run into this very same issue and they can also solve it by reading your topic.
I actually researched deeper on the forum..... two things here: first, go to your url/install and force the upgrade again...if it stalls again ( and it did ), then force it in your browser with the refresh button. It pushed through and fixed it.
I have been on XenForo for 12 years, and this was a first for me.

AH Perhaps consider the free tier of cloudlare. It can also be combined with XF BOTGUARD or HUMAN VERIFICATION to stop much of that nonsense in its tracks.

I battled the same thing a month ago, had up to 88,000 of them for an extended period of weeks. They were crashing the sql server about 3x daily. It's no longer a problem with the above combo.

My fear was that the ISP would kick us off the server, because of the additional stress it was causing for them.

Running XF BOTGUARD, not a big fan of cloudflare though.

Then I suggest running it in LIGHT mode and having it use cache. It will cut back a lot on database writes.

I've had zero issues with Cloudflare and it is free. It took minutes to set up and is pretty flexible to block bad actors before they even get to the server. I may add it to my other forum. It works together with XF Bot Guard, too, for Edge management.

Don't like handing my name servers to Cloudflare, but I understand your point.
