Showcase (Reviews, Guides, Garage, Directory etc) [Paid] 2.9.0

No permission to buy ($55.00)
@bobster65: I would like to buy this add-on soon, got a couple questions here...

- For the items in the categories, does this add-on allow multiple users add images to each item?
- If I'd like to customize the style, can I still use the xenForo ACP > Appearance > Styles ... to do it?

Thanks in advance!

- Yes you can add multiple images to each individual Item
- Not sure what you mean about the styling you can style it using css via the EXTRA.CSS template it's very customisable

What I'd like to ask is: for example if I want to adjust the background color or the alignment of the pics with the descriptions below them, is it possible to use the ACP style tools to do it? I know basic html and CSS, but since I am just a starter on xenForo, I'd like to find out first what I could do with the tools come with it.:)

There are no Style Property Options for Showcase.

Your going to have to make enhancements for showcase via the EXTRA.CSS templates. Some of the colour palette options might alter certain colours in showcase but they won't be the type of enhancements your looking at doing. EXTRA.css template is never overwritten so it serves as a great place/way to retain your enhancements during upgrades as they aren't overwritten. All you would need to do if you want to do those enhancements is use a source ode inspector (which are built into all browsers) and then adding the classes and enhancements into extra.css.

Some enhancements you might want to make may need direct html editing in the showcase templates themselves which would be the place to make those adjustments but likely EXTRA.CSS will suffice for you.

Thanks stewart1champ and Shelley for your prompt replies! Especially Shelley, thank you for your very informative reply. I've got a lot to learn. But with helpful tips offered by people like you, guess I could learn faster.

Trust me, you'll get to grips with it in no time. Just fluent yourself with css and extra.css as you'll be amazed at what you can do and what significant changes you can make with so little effort. :)

WOW! I love how you can manually specify the discussion thread. This is going to be really useful for our members who already have existing build threads running on our forum.

I was impressed with this feature and it was unexpected. It was like bobster stuck his santy hat on, fake white beard and gave us an early christmas gift. :D

Thoroughly impressed with this add-on in general and the development pace is phenomenal.

Same here, the level of customization is great, and the fact I've been able to change just about every reference to Showcase to now be Garage makes this even better IMO.

While it's not a full replacement for what we had on phpBB, given it's not actually a Garage mod, it's doing a bloody good job!
