So I'm setting up a local copy of xenforo on my machine to do some dev work. I'm a front-end guy - I know nothing about servers. I managed to get as far as getting localhost running on my mac using Apple's built-in Apache and an installation of MySQL.

I copied the xenforo install into the Library/WebServer/Documents directory, and visiting http://localhost gives me this:

So... what now? I need to access the install to make template and theme changes, and I have no idea where to go from here. :(

Any help or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like you got everything working but have you checked out MAMP? http://www.mamp.info/en/

I'm using the free version on my MacBook Air for my local XenForo install. It's easy to use and it works great.
