You are using two incompatible add-ons at the same time: Referral System + Referral Contests. If you have "Referral Contests", you don't need the other one.

Referral tools HTML links/banners are dofollow, the BB Code is usually nofollow on most sites.

Try re-building add-on data. The error is not a bug in my add-on. Somehow the template function which is added via XF's code event listeners, is not applied when you get that error.

As for the last error, is not from my add-on.

Currently, in case of a tie, the referrer with the older registration date will get ordered first.
I will make some changes in the next release to split prizes.
