Add-on [PAID] Full Wordpress/Xenforo bridge

Nice.
What about teaming up with bambua ?
( I have no idea if he is remotely interested ).
I'm just thinking that there will be style issues with your integration as people want more and more Wordpress / Xenforo blending.
or maybe it would be best that you just sent him all the people that want tweaks. He does do website design.
:)
I sent him a test copy of my plugin a while ago and he was kind enough to make some changes to his theme to make sure that they are fully compatible. My plugin + his theme should have exactly the results you're looking for (see his site at http://www.defiantminecraft.com/ for an example of our two products working together). Any design tweaks required would definitely be best handled by him.

WP-Filebase Download Manager

WP-Filebase is an allround file manager for WordPress. It keeps files structured in categories, offers a template system to create sortable, paginated file lists and can sideload files from other websites. The plugin is made for easy management of many files and consistent output using templates.

This could be helpful for those wanting a downloads option for Wordpress.

Why is this add-on not in the "Add-on Releases" forum?
It's been already released. http://xenscripts.com/xenforo-to-wordpress-bridge/

As far as intergration goes, this one is a gem.

Key Features:

  • Login to WordPress with your XenForo account (user authentication is entirely handled by XenForo)
  • Automatically create XenForo threads for new WordPress posts and pages
  • Store WordPress comments as thread replies on XenForo
  • Sync and display XenForo avatars within WordPress
  • Fully compatible with bambua’s WPXenCSS dynamic WordPress theme

Yep, that's mine :) I have a couple of test copies on sites around and I believe the owner of that site found the link from one of those and went ahead and bought it. I'm still finishing up the support site, when it's done I'll post a release thread here on xenforo.com

Anyone use some forums regarding Wordpress ?
Discussing Addons and asking questions ?

I suspect more people will try a Wordpress HomePage (and Gallery, [insert Addon here]) but they will be new to Wordpress. Wordpress.org forums seem like a zoo. It could be helpful to have a goto spot for discussing Xenforo + Wordpress.
Ideally we could have a "Wordpress" subforum at xenforo.com ... but I'm guessing that isn't likely.

I did see this ... looks pretty good.

Thanks for solving the issue Fighter1405 - downloaded and installed on my test site. I also installed XenDynamics and it all works with the Blackend-Yellow theme I already had installed.

Testing continues on my IPB 3.1.4 migration into a Wordpress/XenForo integrated site. It's looking very promising so far!

In laymans terms, because I haven't done the research -- what's the difference between this commerical bridge, the bridge available already on xenforo.com and the various wordpress/xenforo theme things?

Glad you like it so far! :)

Simply put the free bridge here does user authentication integration which will allow you to have one account and login to both Wordpress and XenForo at the same time. My bridge does that but also adds options to create new threads on the forum for each Wordpress post made, store Wordpress comments as thread replies on the forum and syncing avatars between the two. Essentially I've tried to integrate the two parts of the community as tightly as possible. The dynamic theme (by bambua) is all about integrating the style of the two software packages whilst a bridge integrates them in terms of functionality. Bambua has done an excellent job with his style and whatever bridge you end up using it is well worth considering using his style at the same time as the bridge - they work together.

Can a Xenforo comment thread be displayed beneath a Wordpress article ?

xenscripts.com needs XenDynamic :)
It doesn't look like Xenscripts is using the feature.
I see Wordpress Comments under the Wordpress article ?

Update: but they do sync to the forum.

This is more dependent on how you have your settings in wordpress, most people have comments turned off on pages (or articles as your'e calling them) If they are on they will show there.

How will work with W3 Total Cache plugin? It's one of the most important WP plugin for large/medium sites.

I did a "Xenforo Comment" stress test to see how it displays in Wordpress.

Worked quite well.

Thanks :) Also things like how the quote box is displayed (which I think is currently a little ugly on xenscripts.com) is obviously style-able using the Wordpress theme itself.

Unfortunately I think it is unlikely to work. I haven't tested it yet but my understanding of W3 Total Cache is that it requires the default Wordpress cookie to decide which cache to serve, and this cookie isn't provided by my plugin (we use the XenForo cookie instead).
