XF 2.2 New reason prevents pages in a sitemap from being indexed on Google

This is new. For me, anyway... Something to be concerned about with redirects? I'm checking through the URLs with said issues but they're not threads that were moved or redirected manually. They're redirects like this:

/forums/showthread.php?t=24469
/forums/threads/the-thread-title.24469/

If this reason is not intentional, we recommend that you fix it in order to get affected pages indexed and appearing on Google.

Try to check if you still have the old sitemap in Google console. I mean the one from vbulletin
Yes that would definitely get Google confused. Alternatively it may be on account of internal links that are redirected. The logic of Google being why have an internal link if you are going to redirect?
 
I'm not sure I understood correctly. If you're referring to the path of the vBulletin sitemap on your site, given the migration to XF, you most likely don't have it anymore. But even if it still existed, it wouldn't matter.

If instead, you're referring to the page that lists the sitemaps in Google Webmaster, here's the link (choose the property from the drop-down menu):
