XF 1.2 navigation change newbie question

Need some help please. How to get the notification section from left to right? tried myself for hours but can't get it done.

i do not use the standard xenforo notification system

Best thing to do is disable that navigation tab and then edit the relevant template to add the link.

Correct. I've tried to do this in tms/etc/etc....but my knowledge on this is too little

yes. I'm familiar with those options. Still I want to/wish to have the notifications tab that is now showing in the navbar over here......
