i installed xenforo and mybb on the same server but looks like mybb is a lot faster then xenforo
p.s. i am using Firefox 4b11
p.s. i am using Firefox 4b11
And here we go: http://xftest.radonsystems.net/mybb/index.php
I'm sure I read somewhere that MyBB used pretty much the exact database schema as vBulletin? From the demos I found on Google it seems that they've just ripped vBulletin and offered it free...
All-in-all, I find XF a far more valuable investment - for time and money.
It's all on the server...I mean we could all run the fastest site...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Roadrunner
My bad should have not used a definite word should of used most/a lot lolNot true. A lot of it depends on the server, but not all of it.
In an early incarnation, they had vB code in it.
That's what I thought when I read it. 'a lot faster' yeah right. Forum software isn't even a big factor in speed, it's overrated.I think this guy was trolling......
I think you're thinking of "LiteBulletin" - a fork of MyBB which incorporated vBulletin code, and was eventually taken down.In an early incarnation, they had vB code in it.
I am. I keep forgetting, was that before DevBB?I think you're thinking of "LiteBulletin" - a fork of MyBB which incorporated vBulletin code, and was eventually taken down.
It was before MyBB was GPL, I think it was in the MyBB 1.0 era, and looking at the timestamps on the vBulletin.com forum post, I'd say it was after DevBB.I am. I keep forgetting, was that before DevBB?
yes mybb database size 1mb (fresh installed) and xenforo > 19Well, I can tell you that MyBB databases vs XenForo databases after just doing a few import tests ...
XenForo certainly wins. Yikes those indexes.
yes mybb database size 1mb (fresh installed) and xenforo > 19
i believe mybb and smf are faster but, mybb UGLY .. mybb only for someone know about coding ..Then I recommend to use mybb
My experience is that mybb on the same dedicated server with 1,2 million posts was a smooth experience, with sluggish loads here and there. And once converted over to XenForo rc1, it was flying and user activity picked up again, and the analytics showed the bounce rate went down, and people stayed on the site longer.
