what dont you like? it seems the reverse really as its a couple button click and job done from the backend...
I use DirectAdmin and I will say I prefer the file manager there over the one in cPanel.

I think it’s just a UI thing for me. Having the small FTP client window (CyberDuck) and quickly dragging files in our out of it to my Mac’s hard drive.

From the technical standpoint, I assume they are the same as far as upload/download speeds and security goes (if using SFTP)?

were talking xenforo backend not server...if that helps...i believe you may need to enable the option in config.php or some kind of thing tho i dont recall offhand exactly

I don't know how to do that. Can you show me? Maybe use private message so we aren't taking over this thread.

I don’t love the interface when doing it like that. Is that how most people do it though? Any reason to not use SFTP?
The only reason to not use ftp/sftp is basically because sometimes you end up with results like you did when uploading many small files, regardless of the program you're using. At least that's been my experience over the years. (This is the point when someone will usually pop up to say that they've used whatever program for years and never had a single issue, and good for them.) Of course, do it in whatever way works best for you, I was just curious why you wouldn't do it through the admin, since it's super easy and reliable.

For the record, I do sometimes use an ftp/sftps program (Core FTP), but I still usually archive uploads that contain many files.

It looks straightforward enough, can you open a ticket on my site and I can send you a test version?

I'm pretty new to XenForo, just installed the script for the first time. I love it already.
I would like to find out if its possible to change the prefix location. I would like to see the prefixes (i own the multi prefix addon) on the right side (under the title) next to creation time of the post. So the end result will be that the thread always starts with the full title and then below that the creator, creation date/time, prefix 1, prefix 2 (and on the thread page itself there will be tags here), ect..
Does anyone know how i could achieve this on all pages where you can see prefix?

I've already implemented a "Move thread prefixes location" style property which actually implements this.

The next version of the add-on will have it, it isn't released yet. Probably in 1-2 weeks.
Prefect, thanks. I can't wait to see how it looks and if it's what i think it should be. Im setting up a new forum now and still closed so hopefully i can use it. For me it's mandatory that it looks great and is readable on desktop/mobile. If you need a tester, shoot a msg.

I'm thinking of buying just a random question does this support "Automatically created thread prefix" within xf Resource Manager?

The third option is under Style Properties - Node/forum list, if anyone is unsure at first of where to find it.

@Xon
The add /or is a nice option, but ideally it would be best to allow users to choose either. I'm sure easier said than done, but one can hope. 🙃
