Multi Prefix

Multi Prefix [Paid] 2.16.3

No permission to buy ($30.00)
@Xon, I just installed the add-on.

Would it be possible to have it display different prefix groups in columns next to each other instead of rows under each other?
I'm not sure I understand where you are talking in the UI.

Would it be possible to generally remove large amount the padding between the prefixes?
This is a matter of adjusting the css styling

Would it be possible to keep the prefix selection in the same spot that it is in default XF?
Nope, how the UI is extended makes this a nightmare.

@Xon, I am confused by "Prefixes are sorted when applying, but displayed as is. Enabling this enables sorting even when displaying" -- what exactly is this changing?
The prefix order is set when you edit/add prefixes to a thread. But if you change prefix ordering after, this by-default doesn't reflect instantly.

This option ensures they are displayed in the correct order.

Is it possible to limit it to only 1 prefix per prefix group? Or to two prefixes total?
The per-forum prefix limits are just for total prefixes, not per prefix group.

@Xon Is is possible to add an optional quick prefix filter for this add-on?

e.g. On top of the thread list, there's a quick prefix filter bar like this:

[All] [Prefix 1] [Prefix 2] [Prefix 3] [Prefix 4] [Prefix 5] [Prefix 6]

Clicking [Prefix 2] will only show threads with [Prefix 2], and clicking [Prefix 4] will further filter to threads with [Prefix 2] and/or [Prefix 4]

Clicking [Prefix 4] will unselect [Prefix 4]. etc. which in fact behaves very much how how prefixes on the titles are clicked.

@Xon any hope for this?

Thanks for the reply. For the UI:

Inside the red is how it is, but inside the green is what I am asking to do.

hmm....now we see a broken page trying to start a new thread...

EDIT: hmm cant recreate it now....not sure what kind of fluke there, i will mention if i see it again tho...

Make sure you remove the template modification suggestion in @021's Similar Threads add-on thread. It will cause an error if the updated version and the template mod are both enabled.

yes, fwiw, i did revert the template prior....just loaded the page like a css error you know how that does....seems fine now, just odd, cache something or other or who knows...

Great add-on! Would be awesome to add Prefix Group limits (If it's possible of course )

Let me set an example....

Group "Games" say a user can only select 1 prefix from the list and the hole group disappears.

Group "Platform" say a user can select 3 or more from the list before the group disappears.

It is compatible (ie doesn't break with them installed), but it doesn't extend them
Not quite correct unfortunately.
When I select a prefix for this setting in Showcase and hit save:

Afterwards the prefix just disappears. So one cannot set prefixes automatically as it doesn't save.

I just want to double check.

Can I use this with having only one prefix per thread, I don't want multi prefix. What I want is to be able to filter/choose all threads in a forum with prefix1 and prefix2 and maybe more. Where du you choose more than one prefix @Xon or anyone else that knows.

I bought Prefix Essentials without double checking thinking it could do this.

You can set the 'max prefix allowed' per forum to 1, but the filtering is a little wonky since it is AND not OR

@Xon Will you create an add-on for prefix filters for thread lists that supports multi-prefix?

i.e. more than one filter can be selected at a time.
