Limited Guest Viewing Pro - Boost Registrations [Paid] v1.9.21

No permission to buy ($40.00)
Note, it's fixed. Just realize that one of the breadcrumbs seems like a Thread List link, but it's actually just an anchor link to the homepage and therefore won't be counted.

Just a heads up
With this latest update it's counting the homepage as view, however I don't have it checked in the options.

For example, if I limit only 1 view for the image configuration, registration is forced upon entering a node (first view), not upon entering a node thread (which would be the second view to count).

1 - homepage (1 view)
2 - node list (real 1st view and it' forced)
3 - thread (real 2nd view)

Here's a video. It's working as designed as of v1.9.3.

Note, at the end of the video it cut off when I said "As far as I'm concerned this is working as designed".

In that case it will work correctly.

Could you try with 1 single display of thread list, threads and tags to force registration? If I try to do it in my forum by accessing it from the homepage, it does not allow me to access a node, when I understand that it is the first display and it should allow it.

Should be good so I'm done messing around with tiny settings. If you're using 1 view, or similar, why not just make your entire forum private to visitors?

That configuration may be ok for you, but each buyer will have their own needs.

If I make the forum private as you propose, Google cannot index it.

  • Updated charts to use past 24 hours of data when "1 day" is selected
  • Updated all charts to use the same colors for all data types (for legibility and consistency)
  • Updated all checkbox options to boolean from...

Roger that. I'll figure out why the redirection isn't firing immediately, if that's the case.

What's the settings you use, I know you use 2 for force, do you use 0 or 1 for the. notice? Curious for testing:

With 0 and 1, it works for me... I enter on the homepage, I visit a thread list page, it shows 0 guest views remaining, soon as I click on an actual thread, it immediately forwards me to registration.

I tested in both XF 2.2+ and XF 2.3

Works perfectly.

Please ensure you're using a fresh Incognito. Also ensure you're not actually clicking any breadcrumbs that visit the homepage, that includes the #anchor links in the URL (it's still technically the homepage, which, by using your settings, does NOT count as a view).

After updating to 1.9.6, "$xf.session.wutime_lgv_views" (not the template, but the actual string, including the "$") appears at the top of every page, above notices and below the navbar.
Ah, apologies, I fixed that and re-uploaded the ZIP.

You must have downloaded within minutes of the original upload.

Can you re-download and re-install checking "Overwrite existing files for add-on rebuilds / upgrades".

Actually, just to be sure, I just re-uploaded the updated v1.9.6 right now.
It seems to work now.
FYI, install/upgrade from archive is disabled by default. It requires accepting a warning and a config file edit. Is simply re-uploading the files and using the 'rebuild' option equivalent to this?

Yes, re-uploading is fine. I just assumed you use the upload installer because it's so convenient.
