Just upgraded. Can you tell me what setting the cookie actually does please? And presumably have to declare it on the cookies page. Also I can find where to change the colour of the register notice and text, but not how to change the colour of the red X

Also is it possible to change/add to the notice text?

For normal visitors the cookie would define the number of days before their "views" reset. The cookie will live, by default, for 7 days. If they hit their limit they'll continue to get force redirected within those days to the registration page (disallowing them from viewing content).

You can edit the colours in "style properties" (under "limited guest viewing" in "style properties), and the text can be changed in "phrases" (search phrases).

Hi again. I see there's an option to turn bots and crawlers off if you want - while still presumably allowing the main search bots like Bing and Google as per the old version. Could there be an option to allow certain bots and crawlers and not others? Or would that be complicated? Thanks.

It's possible. What's the intention?

Just to decide which ones you want to crawl, like some of the main ones, as there are so many and many aren't necessarily helpful to have. Some of the AI search and user bots are useful for SEO but the training ones aren't eg.
