Limited Guest Viewing Pro - Boost Registrations [Paid] v1.9.21

No permission to buy ($40.00)
Yes, re-uploading is fine. I just assumed you use the upload installer because it's so convenient.
I have no idea what other XF admins do, but personally, I've run XF for years and never used the upload installer once.
Back when I was new to XF, I clicked the button to try it, and read this warning:
Various directories must be writable by the web server user to install from an archive and this may be considered to be insecure in some hosting environments. Your server must also have ZipArchive support in PHP.
That warning was enough to convince me never to use it.
I wasn't even comfortable using it today, it felt like they wouldn't put that warning there if it was recommended to use. That's why I asked if file re-upload and rebuild was equivalent.
I don't think addon developers can safely assume that XF admins have the upload from archive functionality enabled.

Is there a "lite" version of this at all? Or a way to test it? I'm not seeing a demo, and while it is currently out of my budget, I may get it someday in the future.

That's a good suggestion. Okay.

That's the Media Gallery correct? I don't have the Resource Manager add-on.

@Wutime If the homepage is used to limit forum views, once the registration message appears the user can still view the content of the homepage and registration on that page is not forced.

Yeah, I see... it loads the red notice, but doesn't actually redirect on the homepage.

Is that the bug you're referring to?

The registration notice is displayed but no registration buttons are displayed. The content of the homepage is visible instead.

v1.9.9 addresses this, just make sure you have selected the appropriate XFMG options for Media Files, as well as checking the box below.

Note, if someone flicks through the photos at lightning speed the system will not be able to update the session value fast enough. But otherwise it works well.

The registration notice is displayed but no registration buttons are displayed. The content of the homepage is visible instead.
This should be resolved in v1.9.9

Note, the order of "Page types for view tracking" has been slightly changed, with Homepage appearing first now.
