I would love to convert to XenForo, but...

What should I do with the member albums and our photo gallery? Everything else I modded into my vBulletin is not that important, but my members will go crazy if I remove the above.

Any suggestions?

The argument about what is "essential" is pointless.

To some forums a gallery or albums function is essential, to another CMS, or blogs, or Articles or wiki.
To each it seems their particular need is "essential" because it is - on that forum.

There are mods now that can do all these things we want. We just have to encourage their coders to do the importing part. Some of them already do.

Essential is for me the post. Without the post, a forum would be pointless. You can argue about organizing posts into threads and threads into forums. You could avoid having forums by tagging threads. Or you can have the same posts within different "threads" or whatever you call it then.

From what I get, most people want to store text information and image information, that's it. It is important how you organize them: as blogs, within cms types, articles, wiki.
