I would love to convert to XenForo, but...

What should I do with the member albums and our photo gallery? Everything else I modded into my vBulletin is not that important, but my members will go crazy if I remove the above.

Any suggestions?

I must admit albums is probably at the bottom of the list of things for me to worry about when we do convert eventually. A handful of my members use them, but most prefer to post their pics on the forums

As soon as Thread Prefixes are available then I have migrated. Most of my users use PhotoPost (v 7.1 supports integration). Then, hopefully, a better integrated gallery will come along.

Im way ahead of you. lol Thats what Im going to do. Now if only someone can say something about whether or not we could import the user albums over on their own once xF gets albums so I dont have to keep the vB3.8 software live to keep my sites 100,000 photos in tact all over the web. I dont mind having the future 'albums' from today on as threads... just dont want to lose 3 years of photos by getting rid of vB. Kind of silly having to keep my vbulletin live just for that.

I have too much respect for the ship they have running here to bother them with a unique customers request. Aside from the coding and the lawsuits, they have lives as well. All will work itself out im sure with my particular situation.

Images on your site are useful.
But aren't galleries kind of dead ?
with Flickr and Facebook .... Picassa ... etc etc.

You can't just say we don't need them!! I have a site that contain 60% of its content is photos/albums. I really wish if its possible to import all of those photo to xenforo. If I decided to ignore them, probably the entire community would leave the site. So is it important ? yes, is highly important and it needs to make its way ASAP. At the same time I would like to see a good implementation of albums not a crappy one... tags instead of categories = gallery

• There is an official IP.Board 3.1.x importer built in to the software.
• An unofficial vBulletin 4.0/4.1 importer is available as an add-on.
• An unofficial PunBB 1.2/1.3 importer is available as an add-on.
• An unofficial FluxBB 1.4 importer is available as an add-on.
• An unofficial SMF 2 importer is currently being developed.

For a more - step importing I would definitely ask a third party who knows them all. Floris was working as official vbulletin staff some time ago and knows vb, that's for sure.

We use SMF2 script to directly import into xenforo 1.1 now.
