How should the "Ignore" function work?

Hello everyone.
The version of my xenforo is v2.2.12. I know that I haven't updated it in a long time, but maybe that's not the problem.

My forum https://ldsound.club/ has a sidebar function with the latest posts displayed.
There is an "Ignore" function on the forum.
User "A" begins to ignore the second - user "B". When user "B" writes posts, user "A" does not see them in the latest messages. This is correct and logical.
The third - user "C" and the fourth - user "D" start writing in the topic, to which user "A" did not include "Ignore". User "A" does not see posts "C" and "D" in the latest messages. But if you go to the topic, then all the posts are there. The topic disappears from view.
The reason for this is that the ignored user "B" has a post there. One post and the whole topic disappears from the news feed for user "A".
It doesn't matter if they answer with a quote or just write a post without citing the ignored one. Nothing is visible in the latest messages.
Is ignore supposed to work?

Yes, but not in the way you have described.

User A should not see user B's posts but should see user C and D. User B's ignored post is not visible, but does not stop the following posts from user C or D from showing. But hopefully since Feb you now have this sorted. This would have been better posted in a support section.
