Heck no! the photo is normal on my PC.
But I just sent it to someone on AIM and it rotated it on that too, how odd.

Lol, maybe it's a "feature" of Windows 8, I don't know, the picture shows up correctly, but uploading it here or aim'ing it and it rotates it.

Windows 8 picture viewer auto-rotates it without telling you ...

Select a different viewer app or manually rotate and save.
