We all know that content is King when it comes to having any kind of community or forum but solely trying to bring fresh content into your forum or community is never as easy as it may seem.

We know that having a variety of different people posting within the community or forum can help with a range of different topics and content being posted within the forum and in most cases, may also be what someone is looking for meaning more eyes on the community. #

Would you rely on paid posting to get content for your forum?

I get requests through the contact forms asking to create paid posts. Given the rise of AI I’m sure we’ll see a ton more. AI generated content is usually detectable, and I can’t imagine any search engine thinking positive about it so I always ignore the requests.

garbage. if they're not an SME in your niche, it's a waste of time.

find friends who are SMEs in your niche and work stuff out to influence them to post. Ask stupid questions you already know the answer too and have conversations about answering it to get started. From there, groom your first couple responders to get them to stay. Maybe groom is the wrong word-- but basically get them to feel welcomed and a part of something so they come back.

I send EVERYONE a welcome pm from me with 100 ways to contact me and welcoming them to the site. I can't tell you how many 'thank you for the warm welcomes' i get in reply, and i ALWAYS follow up. Ask them about their stuff, their involvement in the niche, etc and encourage them to post pics, start threads, etc for everyone to see.

Authenticity is what it's all about. Contrived "content" for the sake of content will likely backfire and have the opposite of the intended effect, IMO.

Content isn't king. GOOD content is king.
