That's excellent. I have been toying with the idea of adding bitcointip to my advanced reputation system. But I think that your idea is much simpler and probably more effective. I'd certainly like to see a gift button on posts. I can see how that could really increase account upgrades.
I can't say I've seen this happen but I'll take a look for you.

I just installed this on my new XF install, after moving from vB. I really like the functionality, but making anonymous gifts, do not make them anonymous. Is there something that I am missing?
What do you mean by not making them anonymous? I use this add-on on a live site where everything seems to be working as expected.

I have two test users in different usergroups. I sent them both a Gift subscription and selected Anonymous. Both gifts came through that Guy (my admin user) had sent them a gift subscription.

So I'm currently using this for a VIP status upgrade that people can either buy for themselves, or gift to others with this add on.
Is there a way to prevent someone from gifting an upgrade to a user that has another upgrade (For example, prevent a user from gifting a 3 month VIP upgrade to a user with an active 1 month upgrade)

Are you using the 'Disabled User Upgrades' functionality, and finding this is not adhered to by this Gift Upgrades add-on?
As it stands, no. But, I'll be starting work on a new feature this week that'll also bring the ability to disable gift upgrades (similar to disabled user upgrades and what @Mouth is referring to).

Big thanks to @Xon for helping make this version possible. Also, keep an eye out for some new features in the upcoming 1.4 update.
- Add support for alternate PayPal accounts.
- Only add non-recurring purchased upgrades back to the available upgrades list.
- Fixed issues with post-upgrade deferred tasks running forever.

I have added a button in the member card and wanted help in making it so instead of it having a pop up with it asking to type the username of who to gift, instead have it gifting the persons member you click?
I have noticed that the button will take me to the overlay of the image below "1 month prime" it it possible to make it choose what upgrade ? 1 month, 2 month, 3 month?

This is actually something in the works for 1.4 -- the ability to gift members from their profiles and posts.
