XF 2.3 Embeddding

That's good if there's WebP support. Personally I'm not keen on some of the visual changes - like the link above to a forum thread and the way it displays - it's too big and too white. I preferred it how it was before.

If I paste a forum link on the forum or in a message it embeds. I don't want to turn off embedding, I just thought it looked neater how it was before.

First photo is the old version of an embedded link, second photo is the new version. Too big and too busy IMO.

Unfurl is what the first version is. And it is used if you don't enable embed in 2.3 backend. Embed has not replaced unfurl. Unfurl is used for all links. Embed is optional for local links.

Tried turning off autoembed and it made no difference.

Thanks. Did that. Ticked the box for allow external embedding of content. Test still gave the new style

I guess not, because that new user was from an eastern block with a blacklist of IP addresses. Doesn't seem to be a coincidence though.

You have to disable that option... Just to be clear. But yeah your forum is embedding posts. If that option is indeed disabled... hard to say what could be the reason. I would suggest testing it on default theme and see if you can replicate it there.
