Using the default search box, it kinda drives me batty that I can't sort the search results by date / relevance / etc.
Results routinely pop up that are over 6 years old, right at the top. There definitely should be an option to sort oldest / newest / relevance. As a default search, I know its the one everyone uses, so it should have the most functionality.
I am sure the other search (Advanced Search) has an option for sorting, but this really should be added to the default one, because people aren't going to want to hunt for Advanced search and set all sorts of parameters. They want to type a word and hit enter.
Is there at least some way for me to define the sorting order (I prefer by date: Newest) in the admin?
Should I create a thread for enhancement requests to add a sort dropdown?
