[DBTech] DragonByte Security

[DBTech] DragonByte Security [Paid] 4.7.0

No permission to buy ($14.95)
FYI I had disabled this addon (4.5.2) for a while and then when I reenabled it, I got over 700 queries stacked up like this

I've uninstalled the addon.

The addon was trying to remove the previous last-activity records from a table specifically used by this addon.
Your forum data should still be fine.

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte Security with a new update entry:

4.5.3

Update highlights

This version changes the way sessions are handled in order to improve performance.

DB Security stores a copy of some session information in order to support the ability to disconnect sessions via the "Privacy & Security" settings, as well as some other features.

In prior versions, old DB Security sessions would be deleted any time a user started a new session. This was done in order to ensure that no-one could hijack a session or no-one could still be...

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte Security with a new update entry:

4.5.5

Update highlights

This version contains an update to support the new API for fetching the list of countries. You now require a (free) API key in order to fetch this data, added via the new setting.

Complete Change Log

Fix: Updated the Country API to account for changes in 3rd party services (now requires an API key)

With this addon, can an admin/mod be alerted if someone creates an account and the IP address matches that of a registered user? We're trying to prevent and/or monitor for sock accounts. Automatically being alerted would be a nice feature.

No, this isn't primarily a duplicate account check add-on, sorry :(

Here's what you want for that.

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte Security with a new update entry:

4.5.6

Update highlights

This version updates the country fetching code to be more reliable, and no longer requires an API key. If you previously had problems fetching the country list, please run the "Update country list" cron job one more time manually, after which the list should populate itself correctly.

Furthermore, since no API key is needed, fresh installation should once again find the country list pre-populated.

I've installed the addon but some admins can't see all the options like Admin strikes, Login strikes, etc and I don't see the permission to enable those in AdminCP other than Manage DragonByte Security. Could you point me out in the right direction?

Thanks

EDIT: Nevermind, it is now working.

I submitted a support ticket on December 18. It was responded to by Fillip on Dec 20th, noting that an update would be released in "the coming days".

I realize "the coming days" isn't a definitive timeline, but over a month is ridiculous. Please advise.

I've been pretty busy with other projects - I kept the ticket open @ DBTech so that I wouldn't forget.

That being said, I'll push the release today.

EDIT: Looking at the changelog, I now remember why I delayed the release; I was commissioned to add additional features to DB Security, and releasing from multiple branches is difficult with my current workflow. The work had to be completed before a release could be created.
