I can confirm this. I was trying to upload a jpeg as an attachment and I got an error but after disabling optimize image it worked.Check the "Optimize images" option in admin.php?options/groups/attachments/ and it will be impossible to put an image or icon.

That's what i plan on using, it might be double the price but the dev is very nice, always there for you and the product is 100x better than DB's product AND you get support for 1 year. not that nonsense 1 month from DB that rarely updates their addons or squash bugs in a timely manner.
