My moderators can't seem to moderate the chat at all even though they all have the correct permission sets.

EDIT I'm starting to think the secondary groups are the problem here. His primary group is Moderating, but the secondary group is Registered User. Fixed it now, though I really think it should always take the primary group as priority (it would still not let him moderate when I switch the primary and secondary)

How do I fix the open in new window thing? when press the notification it redirects the current page to the thread rather then opening within a new tab. It does it from time to time then stops.

You mean that when you click the link in forum activity notifications sometimes it opens in a new tab and sometimes don't?

Yeah when the notification that someone replied to a thread shows up in the chat and I click it it redirects the current thread instead of opening up a new tab. How do I make it so it opens up a new tab rather then redirect.

how can i keep from guests to stop posting links? i like how guest can ask questions before the sign up but i dont want links

It's a chat admin option for forum activity. If you don't have it, you have to upgrade to the latest version.

I found a bug: if members are posting a lot of whispers then the chat is blank for members entering the chat.

Could you please consider a way to avoid the user list the change order all the time? The problem with it is that its visible which members are whispering because each member who whispers changes position to the top. And this leads to conflict. Seeing that people are whispering defies the purpose of whispering.

Okay, I upgraded it but there still seems to be an issue with the opening in new tab and also the status thing isnt working.

I think you should add Giphy integration into the shoutbox. Giphy is a public library of gifs. Here is how it works. You put /giphy followed by what you want to search. It will show a random image from the search results.

For example.

/giphy funny

That will search all gifs on Giphy that are tagged with funny and show a random one.

Here is the API.
https://api.giphy.com/
https://github.com/giphy/GiphyAPI

The one I am talking about would be the "random" parameter. Though there are other ones you could add.

Example apps:
https://github.com/rhaining/lucille
https://github.com/jeffreytierney/giphbot - doesn't use the "/". Uses: giphy {search term}
Doesn't work for me
