That deletes the existing sidebar, for some built-in pages that have default sidebar like forum_list etc.

One question though, I've set up a widget page and put a couple of widgets on it however I can't find where I can edit them. Have looked under the widget list in appearances and on the widget page itself.

You edit them by clicking the Edit link in the widget block (tiny for now, sorry) when you edit the widget page. Widgets of widget page will not show up in the global widget list.

Yes I used that button, it may be a problem at my end and not a bug ... unless other people are experiencing it. Hold off for a wee while I'll go check a couple of things.

I noticed the recent discussions widget shows titles to threads to people that are not allowed to view the thread.

Is that thread deleted, under moderation or in a node which user doesn't have permission to view?

It's in a node clicked private and shows the title to guests which are checked "never" for that forum.
