Aggregating Forums [Paid] 2.9.4

No permission to buy ($30.00)
When a prefix filter is applied, it seems to ignore child forums. Is there any way to change this? We'd like to filter by prefix and see both parent & child threads, similar to XF1 behavior

edit: after a bit of testing, it looks like Aggregating Forums version 2.1.3 works with prefix filtering

Live example;

If there's a parent forum A with 4 sub-forum A1, A2, A3 and A4, I can list all posts in sub-forums A1, A2, A3, A4 in parent forum A with this add-on. This is excellent.

But what if I want the orange Post thread button showing on forum A to be only able to start a new thread in sub-forums, but not in the parent forum? i.e. all threads showing in Forum A come from its sub-forums. How do I do?

If I disable the post thread permission in user group, the orange Post thread button won't even appear in the forum A.

You need to set to 'no' for post new thread for the user-group for forum A (not never!), and then explicitly 'yes' for A1, A2, A3, A4 forums for the user-group again.

Also; the number of explicit 'no's on a forum must be greater than equal to the of 'yes' for a permission to apply, so you might need to find multiple groups to set it to 'no'

It works! Thank you for your help.

But I don't quite understand your second paragraph.

@Xon The orange "Post thread" button in Forum A (see the example in previous post) disappeared after I installed "Advanced Forms by Snog", uninstalled that add-on the orange button appears again. Other than that, seems it's not affecting other aggregation functions.

That means a conflict between these two add-ons? Any way to solve it? Thanks.

And I'm not sure whether this interface is generated by this add-on, but it doesn't show the special symbols properly:

It's a dot as a separator.
