That should be enough.. The addon only checks in with the API every 6h though and only notifies if something new has been found, so might be you have manually updated the addon(s) before the checkin has happened? And a Question:

I have it activated - but I see no notification about new updates. Only the one at ACP. Is there a second switch I have to enable?
Yep have just not had time to add those yetAnd...I miss this stuff:

I think its helpfull to have such informations and easy to find links.![]()
hmm... I see the notice at my ACP - then I go back to my frontend and cant find any frontend notice for this. Thats why I am wonder. That should be enough.. The acp notice always shows, but the alerts are only triggered when a new addon version is found... It might be that there hasn't come anything new since you installed... But if you see new things in the ACP notice but don't get a notification there might br something we have to fix...hmm... On new installs (and upgrade if API key is missing) there are now instructions on how to get the addon running:

Was apparently not possible to remove one of the duplicated attachments from the download button so I re-released this version and remove the doubly-onemazzly updated Addon Update Notifier with a new update entry:
Better onboarding for new installations (resubmit version without double attachments)

The API limitations and time limitations are there to prevent NULL forum sites from trying to proxy/scrape the data for their users (we also have other things in place but security by obscurity is always niceSet this up on our test forum, and immediately ran into API limitations, just from the sheer numbers of addons there that we're playing with over there before taking them over to our live forum. Is there any chance that, for those forums with 80+ addons, this addon could simply do something like check alternating halves of the addons every time it checks in (i.e. an install with 100 addons would check those in 2 batches of 50 spread over 12 hours)?
It could be less frequent, but also I know some users would want slightly more often updatesI can't speak for others, but I know I'm not likely to be checking addon updates more than once a day anyway, so the existing 6 hourly checks are already far more frequent than I need.
This sounds very fair both to users and yourselfAlso, I've been playing with the idea of making this addon use a Freemium model, where e.g. ~40 add-ons are included for free in the API key, and if you want more it would be something like
addon.json
metadata now has some useful links, thanks @otto- possibility to ignore the current newest version
- When a newer version is released it will still notify you about the newer version
- Less clutter in admin/addon if you don't e.g. want to update to a specific version

btw, with the latest release, you can hide this by "ignoring this version"So if I ignore it, is it one time ignore or permanent? I don't want to ignore and forget it![]()
I added a donate button in the addon listing now alsothank you. where do I donate to support this?
Also, I've been playing with the idea of making this addon use a Freemium model, where e.g. ~40 add-ons are included for free in the API key, and if you want more it would be something like ~5€ per ~30 extra add-ons per year to get update info on more
Nope, sorry
Correct information entered to get the API key, but
Oops! We ran into some problems.
API key not valid
https://www.avforums.com/forums/
but the addon checked in with https://www.avforums.com
When clicking the "Get your API key here"-link in the addon options, it passes along your forum'sboardUrl
so you don't have to worry about getting the value right![]()

It is not necessarily the "best" addons list, but the "most used"... Also note that the data currently is from 74 forums using the addon, so it might be that those specific forums are not using that addon... The more forums using this addon, the more accurate the data will beHi @mazzly I wanted to know why is my add-on is not listed for best add-on ever?
I am taking about the nick97 recently used device add-on!
