It was mismatching and I fixed it in the backend, it will show up correctly in ~6hView attachment 279905
@Ozzy47 does this add-on have invalid data or is your version string invalid?
Oh yeah that would make senseThank you! I just saw another issue:
I have disabled the option "Alert Admins about new addon updates", however I can configure those alerts on the account preference page:

I think this should only be shown if alerts are actually enabled.
Furthermore, the pre-text "Receive a notification when someone..." doesn't quite fit with that description.
Just off the top of my head:The pre-text I think will have to be like that even if it doesn't make 100% sense![]()
Yes, that's perfect! Just my brain that has checked out for the weekend apparentlyJust off the top of my head:
Receive a notification when someone...
Releases an update to one of your installed add-ons
Maybe?
I now fixed this in the backend so it shows correctly, it will show up correctly in ~6h...View attachment 279926
I patched to level 2 but it keeps saying I need to update.
Did a hard refresh and no change.
1.0.0 Patch 2
while the actual addon version is 1.0.0.2
- Changed the alert text from
Addon Update is available
toReleases a new version of an installed add-on
to make more sense in the context- Hide the alert preference if alerts are disabled for all admins in the options
Shoutout to @SeToY for the ideas![]()
Yes that is a good idea, with the next release coming up the addon updates will be "pushed" directly to forums as they happen rather than forums checking in every 6 hours, so then it might be good to not alert the admins for every addon that has been updated.-Set frequency of updates. (days, weeks, months)
Hmm, I'm not exactly sure what you mean here, there are buttons and indicators with tooltips for all the "states" an addon can be in-Show icon beside each addon which indicates availability of an update or an icon indicating it has been paused with a context tool tip when hovering over.
Yes, that also probably makes sense-Number of addons currently installed at the top with the amount of addons currently being checked with the no. of how many are ignored.
Hmm yes, that would probably also be a good functionality-Button to clear all pause settings of updates (I've got a good 90 addons I believe, managing these could get tedious. Maybe a checkbox for each addon with options for actions would work.
- When a new update is found, forums using that addon are notified instantly, no more waiting up to 6h for the update notification to arrive
- This only works for forums that are tracking fewer add-ons than what the API key allows.
- This also allows add-ons with wrong API versions to be fixed (show up correctly) faster
- new API key limits:
- 40 addons in the free API key
- + 30 add-ons cost 6€ / year (70 total add-ons)
- + 60 add-ons cost 12€...
It parses the version from the XF resource pages and converts it into the correctIs there more details on how this addon works and knows their is a current/new version?
version_id
that is compared against on the forum side. It works for all XF add-ons if they have a resource page similar to XF that shows the newest version.Does it only work for xenforo.com/resources/ listed addons? (Appears not!)
For addons not listed on xenforo.com, how are new versions become aware of etc.
Hmm, that might be a bug/feature we'll need to fix. For now, you could uninstall and reinstall as that would clear out the ignored data...@mazzly - I've just upgraded to allow for more add-ons to be added to the key, got confirmation etc, however the add-ons are still showing as skipped with no option to 'unignore' them....
