1 year extension clarification

This isn't fully a pre-sale question but it is a question before I do purchase an extension to my license. So I stopped paying for my Xenforo license back in 2019 and wanted to know if what i would be paying for is the extension or just a new license. because as it says it only extends for 1 year and I don't want to spend 55 dollars just to see the 2018-2019 license extend its support to 2020.

That'd be a pretty scandalous way of doing business

Your license will be extended for 12 months from the date of the purchase of the extension (i.e. Today) if it has already expired.

The exception to this is if the license hasn't already expired. In which case, it will be extended for 12 months from the current expiry date. In other words, you can pay up front for multiple years of support/upgrades if you need to.
