[DBTech] DragonByte Donate 3.6.0

Update highlights

This version improves compatibility with core XenForo features by supporting the "HTTP Proxy" feature in XenForo. This feature is used by certain sites that may be the target of harassment / DDoS attacks, to mask the true IP of the server.

When making calls to 3rd party websites, such as MaxMind to download the latest GeoIP database, those HTTP calls would expose the true IP of the server.

For this reason, the HTTP calls in this product have been updated to support the HTTP proxy. Going forward, all DBTech products that make calls to 3rd party APIs will support the HTTP Proxy feature where possible.

Change: Changed the way API calls are made, in order to support the HTTP Proxy feature in XenForo

Fix: Allow drives without a set goal amount to be recurring drives

This version is a companion update to pre-emptively fix phrase issues with the upcoming DragonByte Credits v5.3.0.

Not installing this upgrade would mean that DB Donate alert opt out phrases would be missing.

Furthermore, this update changes the number box inputs to use XF's Spinbox style in various AdminCP pages.

Complete Change Log

Change: Updated phrases for Alert Opt Out for the DB Credits events
Change: Number boxes in the AdminCP now use the XF spinbox style

This version is a quick bugfix update to resolve an issue where the IP address information as well as the donation status information (confirmed / unconfirmed / test donation) would not display correctly when viewing the donation in the front-end.

This issue only affected the overlay when clicking a single donation, not the list in the donation drive.

Fix: The IP address and donation status would not appear correctly when viewing a single donation in the front-end

This version refines the navbar integration by adding FontAwesome icons for menu entries when positioned in the right-side menu, as well as adding the ability to disable the text. Lastly, the HTML has been updated to better blend in with other right-side navbar items.

This has been tested on a limited number of custom skins. If you encounter any problems with the right-side menu after installing this update, please report it to the developer of your custom skin and ask them to get in touch with us to notify us of any changes we need to make.

This version implements a change to displayed donations inside a donation drive's page; the list will now only contain the viewing user's pending donations, as opposed to all pending donations. The full, unabridged list of pending donations is still available in the AdminCP, where you can also delete these donations if you so wish.

A left-over pagination issue with the bottom-most page nav not being updated for the new URL format has also been resolved.

Complete Change Log

Change: Donation drives will now only list a user's own pending donations, instead of all pending donations
Fix: Fixed an issue with the bottom-most pagination on the donation drive page

This version contains no changes from the previous version. Future updates will require XenForo 2.1.

This version does not work on XenForo 2.1. Please do not upgrade to XenForo 2.1 until a 2.1 compatible version has been released.

Because of a backwards breaking change in XenForo 2.1, the next version will require XenForo 2.1.

In the meantime, I will release a "Gold" version of the current beta or RC version, for use exclusively on XenForo 2.0.

The "Gold" version will NOT work with XenForo 2.1. A blocking issue has been identified with XenForo 2.1:
  • Certain Cron jobs will not work due to a change in the back-end code that powers XenForo (A.K.A. "The Guzzle Change")
The issue has been fixed in an internal build that will be released A.S.A.P., once I am confident enough there are no other blocking issues.

Update highlights

This update fixes various bugs reported over the past couple weeks. With any luck, this will be the last bugfix update before Gold!

The list of donations when viewing a donation drive had a couple issues; the sort order was wrong, and the link to the second page (& beyond) had not been updated to the new route format in v3.1.

The Purchasable file has had a few updates to fix some incorrect links. When viewing the purchase request in the AdminCP, it would not correctly link to the donation drive, and the return URL that was intended to display a "thank you" message was not correct.

Lastly, in certain scenarios it was possible for the donation drive to generate a server error when attempting to update a user's donated amount. This was caused by not finding a valid user record for the donation (such as guest donations or donations where the user has been deleted).
