The database structure isn't imported, but the data is. If the target is utf-8, the source data ends up as such, ??? or am i just not understanding it correctly?
excellent read, i just dont' have enough experience with this. most ppl that want utf-8, dont have it .. because vb never really did it as they wanted it. moving sites and doing imports was never difficult on that part
Imported data is indeed converted to UTF-8 as part of the conversion process. XenForo uses UTF-8 only, there is no option to use other character sets (why would you ever want to?)
