The best chance we have for a shop right now is from xFrocks who created [bd] Banking. On August 2011, xfrocks said that there are plans for a shop addon that uses his [bd] Banking addon that will provide item-based selling. bdbank is free points addon that was released in October 2010 and is one of Xenforo's most downloaded resources. [bd] Banking gives bonuses to users for posting replies, threads, liking, un-liking, uploading attachments and downloading attachments.
Right now there have been 1,282 resources posted in the Resource Manager. 879 are actually 'available' and 403 resources have been deleted. Xenforo has been around for over two years now and there is still no Shop addon that is a viable alternative to the Points Market System. A lot of us come from vBulletin and miss our point shop addons and the addons that are integrated with points. We should've had a points shop addon that provides at least some if not all the features of the Points Market System by now.
During the past two years xenforo members such as myself have been accumulating points and wondering what we could spend our points on. So far, the best addons that successfully integrate [bd] Banking points are Sportsbook and Stock Trader, both of which are high quality addons developed and consistently updated by bobster56.
There are other resources that use [bd] Banking points as a currency but they need lots of work. The most useless of these addons is QQFarm. QQFarm is the game that Farmville was inspired by and was originally created in China. This is the closest that xenforo has to a casino or games type addon that is integrated with a point system. I only say it's useless because it hasn't been translated to English yet. Some of us are working on that.
The other resource that needs a lot of work is Ice Shop. That addon does not come with any default items, requires a lot of work to set up and does not have a consistent development schedule. There was a resource created by Mythocal called MyShop but his libido or something got in the way of it's continued development. Robbo said he was making a Digital Shop. I used to shoot paid requests his way but he is so busy with his upcoming gallery addon and other projects that it's a waste of time even asking. The Release Date for that is looking like 2015 lol.
