XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO

XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO [Paid] 2.2.0.7

No permission to buy ($40.00)
Is there something special I need to do to get the promote thread button to appear? I set the forum to watch in options. Created my categories. But no matter what I do when creating a thread or trying to promote one those button do not appear.
Check perms per @Jaxel but also, they aren't buttons. They are options on the thread menu, at least on my board.

Jaxel updated XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO with a new update entry:

2.2.0.2 - CHANGELOG

  • COMPLETELY redid the way thread types are represented in this update. In the previous version, promoting a thread type other than "discussion" would result in a loss of that thread type's special formatting. For instance, if you promoted a question/answer thread, you would lose answer voting controls. This update makes it possible to promote any thread type, while still retaining those special controls.
A reminder that XF2.2 is still in beta and not recommended for...

Still using 2.1.0.7 here, but was wondering if I had broken something.

On my homepage images do not open in the lightbox image viewer, but they open the image themselves (they are attached files), but when I view the article (for example https://www.osnn.net/threads/microsoft-windows-10-turns-five-years-old.108663/ ) they do open in the lightbox.

I checked 8wayrun and they seem to open in lightbox from the frontpage, have I overlooked or broken something?

Following on, perhaps its a bug with thumbnails?

When I do attach=full it does appear to use the lightbox

Code:
[ATTACH=full]11038[/ATTACH]

Code:
<div class="lbContainer lbContainer--inline " title="1595885028_28.jpg"
        data-xf-init="lightbox"
        data-lb-single-image="1"
        data-lb-container-zoom="1"
        data-lb-trigger=".js-lbImage-attachment11038"
        data-lb-id="attachment11038">

            <div class="lbContainer-zoomer js-lbImage-attachment11038" data-src="https://www.osnn.net/attachments/1595885028_28-jpg.11038/" aria-label="Zoom"></div>

        <img src="https://www.osnn.net/attachments/1595885028_28-jpg.11038/" data-url="" class="bbImage" data-zoom-target="1" alt="1595885028_28.jpg" style="" />
    </div>

But when I just use attach for the thumbnail the source looks totally different

Code:
[ATTACH]11038[/ATTACH]

Code:
<a href="https://www.osnn.net/attachments/1595885028_28-jpg.11038/"
        target="_blank" class="js-lbImage"><img src="https://www.osnn.net/data/attachments/6/6889-8971d93c1fa385c1382ecf19e7f5b1c5.jpg"
        class="bbImage "
        style=""
        alt="1595885028_28.jpg"
        title="1595885028_28.jpg" /></a>

Thanks for replying, sadly yours is the only addon I have enabled.

I just did a new test post which I will leave up for a bit: https://www.osnn.net/threads/this-is-a-test-post.108665/ and on the frontpage on https://www.osnn.net

As you can see the larger image opens in a lightbox the thumbnail does not, I haven't really customised things too much (removed prefixes etc.) so scratching my head if this is something I have done.

UPDATE: Test post removed but original example remains, no one can reproduce this?

Is there an easy way to switch the display on a XenPorta homepage to a traditional horizontal view?

found it. Style properties >> xenporta >> untick masonry.

Hi,

I learned about your xenforo theme from this site:

Will the Porta add-on make my entire site look like UP or even your site or it is just for the home page? If just home page, how do I get to have a theme like your site https://8wayrun.com/?

Xenporta provides a home/portal page and tools for promoting threads to it and managing it. It picks up the style elements from whatever style you use. So you still need styling to match their look, not just Xenporta.

Is there a theme out there similar to uberpeople.net or 8wayrun.com that I can purchase?

For 8wayrun, you'd have to ask @Jaxel. He may have rolled his own. I don't see a copyright notice for the theme on Uberpeople. Show it to someone like @Russ of Pixel Exit and he might have an idea. He has a good line of Xenforo styles and did my styling.

Hello to everyone.
I have a question. Is there any way to use Feature Slider in two positions, pulling from two different sources?
For example, one from a news forum on the front page, and another one from an image gallery in another place?
Yes, you get it well. Can we have two different Features bases, like Features/Features1 etc?

Thank you in advance for your time.
If there's a way to accomplish it that would be awesome.

Try disabling other addons... and see if that fixes it.
So I just did a completely clean install, added XenPorta 2 and gave the administrative group permission to upgrade to articles.
I then made a post and attached a single JPG, adding it to the post as firstly a thumbnail and then a full image, like this:

Code:
This is a test post.

[ATTACH alt="1"]1[/ATTACH]

[ATTACH type="full" alt="1"]1[/ATTACH]

So it looks like this:

POST.png

When I post it, everything works on the forum post, the thumbnail enters in:
index.php?threads/test-post.1/#lg=post-1&slide=0
The other full image didn't open until I made by browser small enough that it was shrunk, then it opened in:
index.php?threads/test-post.1/#lg=attachment1&slide=0

So all working.

On the frontpage, the thumbnail opens in:
index.php?attachments/diablo-immortal-jpg.1/

The full image opens as expected in: (because it has been shrunk - I also tested with a smaller image and it doesn't to open it, very cool)
index.php?ewr-porta/#lg=attachment1&slide=0

So the thumbnail on the article index isn't using lightbox on a clean install either.
Let me know if there are any other tests or info I can get you.

Hi @Jaxel - on 8wayrun your home button points to https://8wayrun.com and forum button points to https://8wayrun.com/forums/

On my forum using XenPorta the home button points to https://strategygaming.net/news/ and the forum button to https://strategygaming.net/forums/

What setting to I need to change to remove the /news/ part of the URL in the root?

It is set up as:

Code:
Board URL: https://strategygaming.net
Index page route: news/
Root breadcrumb: Home
Home page URL: https://strategygaming.net
Link logo to home page URL: Yes

Thank you.

Hi @Jaxel in my test forum when i enable xenporta attachment .zip not show and when i disable xenporta that show.

i use xf 2.2 beta for test it.

I have widgets in the sidenav. When I view /ewr-porta/ on a mobile device I have to click a "Navigation" button to see these widgets. They then slide out from the left.

How do I get rid of this "Navigation" button so the widgets in sidenav are the first widgets I see when I load /ewr-porta/? I don't want them in a slide out navigation menu. I want them to display as normal widgets.

I have a three column page so I want the left column (sidenav) widgets to display first, followed by the center column and then finally the right column (sidebar).

OK, so I'm trying a different approach to solve this. Instead of using the sidenav area I'm using the "Articles list: Above (split)" to create two columns of widgets. The problem is that the two widgets are in a flexbox and expand to the same width.

Is there a way to force the widgets on the left of the split to display at a fixed width? The widgets on the right would then just expand to fill in the rest of the available space.

Hey, @Jaxel. Just promoted an article thread (a story I wrote for another site that I am using for testing in my dev) on 2.2 beta 2 with Xenporta 2.2.0.2. Nice job. I like how it displays. Gets a bit cramped on mobile, though, but I think that's mostly because of the prefix. If I take that away, I think it would be fine.
