No problem and that is expected (many addons have two versions now), what version should I go back to until I go to XF 2.3 and can you elaborate on THIS POST / QUESTION?I will probably just make XF2.3 a requirement for this addon, like my other addons in that case. Just makes things easier in the future.
With PHP8 on XF2? There isn't one.No problem and that is expected (many addons have two versions now), what version should I go back to until I go to XF 2.3 and can you elaborate on THIS POST / QUESTION?
With PHP8 on XF2? There isn't one. Please change your Overview description so others running XF 2.2x and PHP 8 know there is an issue. It's a bummer to buy an addon that says it's compatible but is not using the current PHP requirement for the XF versions listed (XF 2.2 can use PHP 8.2.21) It's only $10 so it's OK until I upgrade to XF 2.3, which may be a while due to issues with 2.3.With PHP8 on XF2? And I don't quite understand the question you are asking in that post.

I am sitting basically in the same boat. Just about to buy the addon after clarifying with my hoster that the necessary are available on my shared hosting and now found this disturbing news. With PHP8 on XF2? There isn't one. Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix this, as every vendor has updated their PHP 8+ libraries with the new "streams" file.I am sitting basically in the same boat. I am running 2.2.16P2 on PHP 8.1.28 and MySQL/MariaDB 10.2.36 and will (have to) stay with that for quite a while.
If I get the discussion of the last pages correctly there is no working version of this addon for 2.2 right now due to the "streams"-file (which has changed in XF 2.3)? And you plan no fix but instead supporting 2.3 only?
This is bad news for the many people that do not plan to migrate yet right now or cannot migrate due to unsupported plugins. I assume there will be a huge amount of people stuck on 2.2 for quite some time so it would be good to have this working. The minimum would be to make an possible exclusive focus on 2.3 clear in the description. Currently neither the description of the addon nor the update notices reflect that and in opposite one would think that 2.0. - 2.3 are all supported, just the latest version 2.1.1.0 requires PHP 8.1+. Which technically would be a fit for me - just that it seems despite the description it is not.
As this plugin has already existed for quite a while: Was the incompatibility introduced with XF 2.2.16P2 and other (older) versions work flawlessly?

Thanks for the prompt help.
This release is identical to 2.1.1.0, except it explicitly defines the requirement XF2.3.
2.1.1.0 has been removed to avoid confusion with compatibility as it does not work with XF2.2.
This version and all future versions now requires PHP 8.1+ to function. The recommended PHP version for XF is now PHP 8.3, so this requirement is keeping in line with maintenance.
- BUG FIX: The Amazon AWS SDK has been updated to remove the abandoned Tightenco library.
If you installed...
Thanks. I think I'll give it a try on a test-system but am not optimistic. Is there an easy way to find out if/which addons require "vendor psr packages"?Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix this, as every vendor has updated their PHP 8+ libraries with the new "streams" file.
If you don't use any other addons which require vendor psr packages, then you shouldn't have any issues just editing the file I mentioned in #357.

I can't confirm this. I'm using 2.1.0.8 on XF 2.2.16 with PHP 8.3.9 and the database backup works without any problems.XF 2.2 with PHP 8.x+ will not work.
It's a crazy weird problem. Does not affect you on 8.3 but 8.2x. Take a look starting here. https://xenforo.com/community/threads/xf2-8wr-database-backup-paid.149937/post-1693447I can't confirm this. I'm using 2.1.0.8 on XF 2.2.16 with PHP 8.3.9 and the database backup works without any problems.

Not that weird from my understanding. Possibly @twollert is lucky and does not have any other addon installed that falls into this category:It's a crazy weird problem. Does not affect you on 8.3 but 8.2x.
If he does not have any of those kind of addons installed there should be no problems. This may however change with installation of any additional addon.Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix this, as every vendor has updated their PHP 8+ libraries with the new "streams" file.
