I haven't really posted my opinions on it taking this long to get updates, let alone security updates, but I'd also like to know how security updates are supposed to bring new members to a community.

Security updates shouldn't take months to come out in my honest opinion. Nor should they wait for other bug fixes to be coupled with it. That's the entire point of a x.x.X release.

Indeed, I'm waiting with baited breath on this one too, but alas, our resident troll has become totally mute about this and is becoming increasingly unhinged instead. Perhaps we should pity him?
