You can easily hide past events by adjusting the 'Default Event List Order' option in the Admin CP. Select 'Event start date' from the available choices, and it will automatically hide past events, showing only upcoming and ongoing events.

2.3.4 - Image Optimization Support and more!

Events Manager v2.3.4 is now available for download.

This update brings XF2.3 specific Image Optimization support for Event Images and Banners, along with options to rebuild existing images for better performance. Where did you go with this in the end?

Also, @Veer is this addon feature locked now, with only new features sponsored?

I ask because was looking to ask if you ever had plans to sync with external calendars such as leisure event calendars such as facebook events/ticketmaster/lastfm or other events sites.

Thanks :)
Does this pave the way for further export / import options? If you can export via ICS, it would be good to import via ICS or other calendars, too - including XLS/CSV

Will calendars (external) also be able to subscribe to this calendar?
Hi @Veer - Not sure if you missed this reply or not. Please could you let me know your thoughts re: above?

Best wishes

Hi, Event export was implemented in a previous version (1.3.2). For event import, we have suggestions in the support forum that we plan to explore in the future when time permits. However, its not currently a priority.

Bug Report:

When you create a multiday event (full day) in the front end only the starting day is displayed, not the end day:

Bildschirmfoto 2024-11-02 um 07.26.43.webp

Bildschirmfoto 2024-11-02 um 07.27.13.webp

The behaviour is reproducable, independently from the lenght of the event (how many days) and independent from wether it keeps within a given month or stretches over into the next month or (like here) into the next year.

Tried to create this as a bug report over at xen-customize, but as my maintainance for events manager ran out and I did not extend it currently (as I am on XF 2.2 and the XF2.2 branch of events manager is not developed further it does not make sense to so) I was not able to post into the bug-reports forum.

Affects events manager 1.2.6 (last version for XF 2.2) - no idea if also the versions for XF 2.3.

Sidenote: The somewhat strange time-display for full day events (starting at 00:00 ending 23:59) has been reported as a bug back in January already but was never fixed but closed as "not planned".
